Midweek Reminder: Ficathon Sign Up Closes Friday

This is a gentle reminder, hence the Gibbs Death Stare (TM) icon. *g*

The deadline for signing up for the ficathon part of the Tibbs Halloween Extravaganza ends in two days, on Friday, September 16. There were a bunch of people who voted for doing a ficathon who still haven't signed up yet. *eyebrow raise*

Please note that you can still contribute to the Tibbs Halloween Extravaganza by writing a story or creating art, even after the ficathon sign up deadline is over. Right now I'm just kicking some butt lovingly poking folks to please sign up for the ficathon if they want to be part of it. :)

"When I volunteered to help, I didn't realize it would be...this." Tony shakes off the water and soap with a grimace.

"You wanted to help with them," Gibbs said, his strokes on the animal steady and sure. "This is part of it."

Tony sighed. "This is crazy."

"This is?"

"Yes!" Tony said emphatically, rinsing out the sponge to rub over the newly shorn skin. "I totally believe in unicorns now, Boss. But why don't they just shed, like normal animals?" He grimaced again as the creature seemed to take offense at Tony's words, shaking its mane, soap and water flying all over Tony's face. He wiped furiously at the foam. "Why in the world do they need to be shaved?"

"Careful what you say, Tony," Gibbs warned. "They understand more than you think."

Tony looked the creature in the eyes, the large brown obs seeming to laugh at the younger man. "No one told them the shaggy look was in, huh?" he said, resuming his soaping of the animal, preparing it for Gibbs' razor.

Gibbs just smiled. "Shaggy unicorns can't fly."

Tony's head whipped up, smile splitting his handsome face before he re-doubled his efforts with the soap, gesturing to Gibbs and the razor. "Then let's get shaving, Gibbs!"

I'M TAKING MY BALL AND GO HOME NOW. I bow before you. I swear, no matter how completely wacky the prompt, you write a snippet about it. *is speechless and in awe*

And the worst best part of it all? It isn't even cracky. It's totally sweet instead! *despairs* I hate you!!! LOL!
